Sodium hydrogen carbonate, also called sodium bicarbonate or baking soda, is a universal agent that has been popular and used for centuries, both in the household and in industry and trade. The wide range of applications of this base is thereby from cleaning and care products, be it shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, bath additive and scrubs, make soda a true universal cleaner. Its pesticidal, fungicidal and insecticidal offers a wealth of applications. Even odor eliminating uses are possible with baking soda. With almost 100 possible applications, the leavening agent that makes for exceptionally fluffy doughs is probably one of the most versatile chemical base materials that industry and consumers can fall back on. In fact, it is a product that no household should be without.

The versatility of sodium bicarbonate obviously knows no bounds, not only is it approved as a food additive under E500 in the European Union and can therefore serve as part of an alkaline diet, it is also used for gentle pest control in the home garden or in commercial horticulture. One of the most important properties, however, is that it is excellent at helping against red wine stains on textiles much more effectively than any other agent. Thus, the high-quality, bright carpet is saved along with the house blessing.
