    Application

Paraffin in liquid form, like solid or medium-solid raffinates, is a crucial component of formulations in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and technical chemical industries. It is used as a base in a wide range of cosmetic applications. Practically in all oil-based skin care products it is at least a partial component. In addition, kerosene oil is part of pharmaceutical products for human and veterinary formulations. Its chemical properties, such as its hydrophobicity, inertness, resistance in acidic environments and non-toxicity, are the basis for its wide range of applications. Thus, kerosene oil is used both as a lubricant in the food sector and as a component. Many technical areas are also areas of application for kerosene oils, for example wood preservation, leather care or corrosion protection in the metalworking industry and in mechanical engineering.
