What is lamp oil?

Lamp oil is the oil that is burned in oil lamps. The term is a non-EU standardized term, so it is recognizable in the trade with the names petroleum, kerosene oil, liquid kerosene or isoparaffin. 

What is lamp oil used for?

Lamp oil provides particularly bright and long-lasting illumination for oil candles, oil lamps and torches indoors as well as outdoors. It can also be used in petroleum-based camping stoves and can serve as a lighting aid for charcoal and as a fireplace starter, making it the perfect companion for campers and trekkers.

What are the properties of the product?

Burnt lamp oil is extremely bright and also very long-lasting. Positively noticeable in comparison with naphthenic products is that it burns soot-free and almost odorless, which is why its use indoors can be problem-free.

How is lamp oil manufactured?

A single manufacturing process for lamp oil does not exist, as the term itself is only a generalization of several petroleum-based substances. One manufacturing method, through which our paraffinic lamp oil is also produced, is refining.
